Mackie Sue

Mackie Sue's seizures started when she was 4 weeks old, I didn't understand how or why my perfect little girl got such a thing, it doesn't run in the family and no one knew how this sweet little baby got it or why. It all started when I was bathing her, she was playing and splashing the water with her little hand, all of the sudden her eyes started to roll back in her head and she started to shake, then it got worse she stopped breathing. I was so scarred I didn't know what to do, all my C.P.R training went out of my head my little baby was dieing and I didn't know how to stop it. My momma performed C.P.R, and she started to breath. We took her to the hospital and the did all kinds of tests from EEG to Cat scans to M.R.I's, and all they could tell me was that my daughter had a seizure disorder that is centered in the part of the brain that controls the heart the lungs all involuntary muscle movement.  She has had seizures for 2 years now, and has been on two different types of medications, Phenobarbital and now tegratol. She was just hospitalized a week ago to under go more tests were they then told me my daughter has epilepsy. Mackie Sue also has a rare heart problem were her left ventricle is enlarged, which I was told is not common i n children, and they believe her to have a hole in her aorta. She will be in the hospital again soon to under go more tests for her heart and to determine whether she had a heart attack or a stroke. Please keep my baby in prayer, she has been through so much, and having to watch her lay there and suffer as they do all kinds of tests is very hard on me. I will let everyone know how she is doing and try hard to keep this updated. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
