This page is to help find ways to help others in need!  Are you in financial need? or do you know someone that is? Is someone you know ill, like family, friends or neighbors? Or are you ill? We have many problems that we face everyday or we know people that are facing problems everyday and we just don't know how to help. This page is to show ways we can help each other without them even knowing. If you have an idea that you think should be on this site please email me with the information and please keep it short! Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 6:4....

Chapter 6

1Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Giving to the Needy

6 "Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (NIV)

So here we go helping others - Remember don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing....

Part One - Giving

Never ask "what do you need?" many people don't know how to answer that question! Just listen to them and I am sure you would be able to find out how you can help!

  1. Utilities:  Have you heard someone say "I don't have the money to pay my electric bill?" or "I just don't know what I am going to do about my gas  bill it is so high this month!", "What about our phone bill, how are we going to pay it" Or do you just know a family going through a hard time and you know they can't pay their utilities. THIS IS HOW YOU CAN HELP:
  1. FIRST THING "PRAY FOR THEM"
  2. If you have the persons phone number you can go down to the Telephone Company and make a payment for them without them even knowing...
  3. If you know the persons name, and address you can go down to the Electric, Gas, Water, Trash Company and pay it for them and again they wouldn't know  it.
  4. You don't have to know how much the bill is, just stop by a Utility Company and pay what you can....
  5. Pre-Paid Phone Cards: This is a great why to help with long distance and lower their monthly phone bill...

   2. Car Payments:  Do you know someone  that can use your help with their car payment this month? Do you have extra left over  and you can help?

  2. Did you know that you can help make a Car Payment for someone who can't do it! All you have to do is be "nosey" and find out who the lender is or just make a money order out to the lender and put it in a white plain envelope and mail it to your friend that needs the payment.. They would be SHOCKED to get a envelope in the mail with no address and just a note saying "I thought you might need help this month, Please forward this payment on to your car loan"
  3. Another way to help is to give them the money and let them know its for their car payment. But that is all who knows...

  3. Credit Cards: Do you know someone who can't pay their credit card bill this month or haven't been able to pay at all lately? Some people just need help for a few months and some need it longer.. Again, you can help!

  2. This is a easy one! All you have to find out is what credit card it is and go down to the retailer/bank and pay it! BUT! If it is a Company that you don't know where it is you might have to do the same as above and send a money order with the Credit Card Company as the Payee. Mail it to the person in need and letting him know that this is for that credit card and please forward it on...

What a surprise this would be to them when they find out someone paid it and doesn't know who! But remember our Lord Jesus Christ knows who did and that is all we are going to say, right?   1.  Sick:  Have you heard someone say "I am just to sick to take my kids to school or pick them up." "I just can't make dinner tonight for the family, I am just  to sick." THIS IS HOW YOU CAN HELP:
  1. FIRST THING "PRAY FOR THEM"
  2. Clean their house:  Call them up ask if you can come over and help clean the house.
  3. Laundry: If you have five kids like me you know laundry is never done! See if you can stop by and help with laundry.
  4. Dinner: I don't like to cook at ALL! but, with kids I have to make something for dinner and on weekends, dinner and lunch! To Help just call and let them know that you are going to make dinner or lunch and drop it off on your way out somewhere!
  5. Shopping:  Ask if there is anything that you can pick up from the store and drop off to there house. Lots of people need something from the store but don't have the money to go and get it why they are sick! Talk to them a little and you should be able to find out what they need, then tell them  you are going to go get it and drop it off....
  6. Kids: You can help them by letting them know you will pick up the kids from school so they can rest longer... or take the kids to your house so they can rest longer even more...
  7. Doctor visits: Maybe they have a doctors appointment but they don't have a car or they need to make a doctors appointment but don't because they don't have away there! Encourage them to let you know and that you would love to help...
  8. Card: Send them a Get Well card! You can do this via US Mail or Internet! Just let them know  you are thinking about them...
  9. Flowers: Send them flowers! Everyone loves flowers.. With a note to say you are thinking about them...
  10. Bible: Go to their house each day and read them a special bible verse and make them a love basket each week with maybe verses, bookmarks, pens , lotions, pictures or if its a child coloring books toys clothes toiletries etc. just an idea

**Wouldn't it be great to help others and ask for  nothing in return! Our return will come from our Father in Heaven and that is far greater than man!

  1. FIRST THING "PRAY FOR THEM"
  2. Send them a Gift Certificate to a local Grocery store that you know they shop at.. Again this can be done in secret by sending the Gift Certificate via US mail in a blank envelope with no return address...
  3. Do they have kids? Then trust me they will need things like: Juice, Soda,  milk, bread, Cereal and snacks  ALL THE TIME! Just go to the store and stop by and give it to them! That's IT! Or you can do the Knock and Run (but run fast) *grin*.
  4. Make them dinner or on the weekends make lunch. Just drop it off, but make sure you let them know that you are coming!
  5. At the store shopping for your family? Have a few extra dollars? pick up a few things and let them know you went shopping and thought they would like a few things...

PS: Please don't buy food for the family if it's something you don't like. Sometimes we like to give our seconds.. meaning that if we have food in our pantry and we don't use it, we sometime like to pass on our leftovers to other families. This is fine, but just think for a moment if you think they would eat it our want it. Why  not buy the good stuff for them, you ask why? because I am sure when they go to the store they buy only what they need or the cheapest stuff, right? So why not spoil them with good stuff like Ice Cream, roast, meat that they can't buy, because of no money, The could kind of Mac & Cheese, lots of soda's, juices, and don't forget about the other things to like toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, hair spray, shampoo, TP, etc.. Just buy the things that you would buy for your family!

  1. FIRST THING "PRAY FOR THEM"
  2. Used Clothing: Do you have clothing that you don't wear. They might fit someone in their family? Fill the bags and bring them over! 
  3. Friends: Have friends that have clothes they don't use? Call them,  see if you can get them to go through some of their clothes.
  4. Gift Certificate: Going to Mervyns, Target, K-Mart or somewhere you can pick up a Gift Certificate! That is a great way to help out with clothes.. buy a few here and there until you have a few and then send them!

**Remember if you are buying for kids, make sure you buy for all of them and not one!

  2. Offer to go somewhere with them and ask to fill up the car with gas.
  3. You can buy pre-paid gas cards and send it to them.

  2. Church: You can help by taking the kids to Church on Wed. or Sunday's. Or on a special occasion at church.
  3. Money: Kids always needs something! Do they have a club or sport they would like to join but can't because mom and dad don't have the money! Offer to help! Great way to keep kids off the streets.. Or are they already in a club or sport and haven't finish paying for it or required to get supplies, clothing and don't have the money! You can also do this in Secret by going to the school asking the principle or who every is in charge of the club, sport etc. and offer to pay. Just ask if they will keep it quiet and not let the student know who paid!
  4. Movies: Kids love going to the movies, trust me I have five and if it was up to the three older ones they would go weekly! Give them a treat and ask them what movie they would like to see and offer to take them and pick them up! Or purchase movie tickets and drop them off.  This also gives mom time alone...

**All of these are great Ideas! But remember  to give with a "Happy Heart" The Father in Heaven can see what you have done in secret and will Bless you! You don't need lots of money to help others and you don't have to help the same person every time! Just remember to store up your treasures in Heaven not on Earth..

Part two - Letting the needy help!

Many people love to have people help them but they just don't feel comfortable asking or taking money or help from others... Here are some ways they can help you! This will make people fill needed and wanted by others.. and when you are in time of need you feel better knowing  you are also helping out!

  1. If they have kids see if the older ones can come over to help with housework or yard work... This is a great way for the young to help out and be blessed...

  2. Maybe they can help you by watching your kids why you go out!

  3. Do you work? Maybe you can drop off your laundry and they can do it for you why you are at work!
