THE THREE RUSTY NAILS
Vicky 13
It
happened when I was waiting for a friend
With this story you will never hear the end
There was a loud knock on the door
I opened it looked and saw more
There stood a men in dirty white robes
to me these aren't really clothes
He
had a long brown beard
on his face dirt was smeared
When
I looked at him I knew him but didn't no why
he made me want to go on my knees and cry
He
looked at me with a warm smile
And held out his hands for a while
I
saw what looked like holes in his wrists
In on hand he clenched his fist
He
opened it up and I saw three rusty nails
I turn in shock and took hold of the rails
He
gave them to me
Smiled and then did flee
I
looked at them they were rusty and old
I felt them they were bloodstained and cold
Then
there I lay sill on the floor
Never forgetting the day Jesus came to my door.

True Life
By: Leah Corson
Age: 14
What is true life?
Is it something that can be bought, sold, or traded?
can you touch it or smell it?
Can you show me the store in which it can be found?
Nay, life is precious, life is sweet,
but true life is the real treat.
Not found at a supermarket or under the bed.
But in Christ Jesus, who has lived.
Now I'm living true life.

Stars
and Moons
By: Alyssa Terry
Are the
stars as far as they seem
Or is
it all in a fantasy dream
What
about the moon, does it really smile
Maybe,
just for a while
Can you
wish on a falling star
Or is
it a little bit just to far
Is the
man on the moon really there
Smiling
down on us everywhere
I don’t
know, perhaps you do
Somewhere inside looking for you

Same Grounds
by Amira Noeuv age
13
When I
see you smile,
Inside I am secretly happy.
I am crushed inside,
When I see you sad.
I want to laugh and cry,
Every time you do.
I look towards you all the
time,
But you never take notice in me.
You are visible to me,
But I am invisible to you.
We stand on the same ground,
Yet, somehow, you are always a mile ahead.
All I want is some of your
time,
But I'm not so sure if you want mine.
I dream about you every
moment,
I'm sure I'm not even last on your mind.
I can't help it if I hover
over you,
And all you do is mindlessly waves me away.
