The "Other" Princess and the Frog

Once upon a time, in a land far away,
a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess
happened upon a frog as she sauntered on the shores
of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle.

The Large Frog boldly spoke to the princess proclaiming,
“Elegant Lady – I was once a handsome prince,
until an evil witch cast an evil spell upon me.

BUT. . . .

One kiss from you will restore me to my former grandeur
and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping
in yon castle with my mother, and you can prepare my meals,
clean my clothes, bear my children and forever be grateful to me
and we can live happily ever after.”



That night, while the generous sized frog legs, marinated in
a little white wine and olive oil cooked on her Bar B Q,
she chuckled to herself and said,
“I don't think so.”
