One time years ago, I was praying in our little house in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was repeating 1 John 4:4, "Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world." Suddenly I realized something extraordinary-God is in me!
It hit me like someone slapped me on the face. Suddenly I wasn't just a poor preacher living in a tiny, run-down house anymore! God lives in me! That changed my thinking about so many things. I looked at my hands and it hit me. His fingers are in my figures. I looked at my legs. His legs are in my legs. His feet are even in my feet...so if I walk into danger, He walks into danger.
Now, when I hear people say, "My prayers don't even get out of my room," I am shocked. I just want to say, "Out of your room? They don't need to get any farther from you than your nose! He's inside you! The Creator of the world has 'moved in' to your life!"
Wow! If you'll spend some time thinking about it, it'll really hit you. It will eventually change your whole life. Think about it-when you go to school, He goes with you. When you go out with your friends, He goes with you. "As God has said: 'I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people" (2 Corinthians 6:16).
Jesus is in you. That's the most magnificent truth in the Bible. Let it become a reality to you today.
