FROM MESSES TO MIRACLES

we have what we say. As Christians, we must understand that's an important biblical truth. We see it in Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21, James 3:2 and many others verses. Yet we often let it slip.

"A fool's mouth is his undoing, and his lips are a snare to his soul"

Proverbs 18:7

Sometimes we talk like we have  no hope instead of saying what's written in the Bible. And eventually we get what we've been asking for-a big mess.

If that's happened to you, remember-your life is a product of what you've been saying. If you feel like you have no friends, ask yourself what you've been saying. If you feel like your grades are at an all-time low, ask yourself what's been coming out of your mouth.

In order to change what you have, you must change what you're saying. Sure, it's easier said than done-but it must be said in order to be done!

How do you start? First, realize that it's something that you can't do by yourself. This is a spiritual principle, so it must be handled with spiritual power.

James 3:7-8 says the tongue can't be tamed like a wild animal. It takes God's wisdom-and His Word is His wisdom (Proverbs 2:6). It takes God's Word to get what we say in line.

Second, don't allow what you say to be influenced by anyone except the Holy Spirit. Be determined that everything you speak is full of love, faith and peace.

The third thing to do is what Jesus said in Mark 4:24: Pay attention to what you hear. Listen to yourself! Think, Do I want what I just said to come true? If the answer is no, then stop and correct yourself. Replace negative words with words that give God praise (Ephesians 5:4). Put the power that's in words to work for you instead of against you.

Change everything by changing your words. Ask God to help you be careful about what you say (Psalm 141:3). Stop making messes, and start making miracles!
