GET YOURSELF TOGETHER

when it comes to growing in faith, a lot of Christians feel like no matter how hard they try, they just can't seem to go any further.

If you'll watch them, you can see why. It's because they literally can't "get themselves together." One minute they'll be speaking something contrary to it.

"Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?"

Amos 3:3

"I know God says He'll give me wisdom, but my grades in geometry are so bad, I'll probably flunk out."

Dig a little deeper, and you may find out that they've pulled their actions out of line with God's Word as well. "Well, you know, I can't possibly find time to pray, with all the activities I have!"

Faith just won't work for a person like that.

You see, you're a three-part being. You are a spirit. You have a soul (which is your mind, will and emotions), and you live in a body. You have to get all three to work together before you can grow in faith at all!

Start by feeding your spirit with God's Word. Just like your body produces physical strength when you fee it with food,  your spirit produces spiritual strength when you feed it with His Word. That spiritual strength is called faith.

Next, bring your soul in line. Make a decision to not think bad, lustful or discouraging things. Think about God's promises and what the Bible says until your own thoughts agree with it.

Finally, bring your body in line. Once you truly get your spirit and soul focused on God's Word, that won't be hard. Begin teaching y our body to act on the truth you've put in your mind and spirit,  and it will follow right along.

So get yourself together! bring your spirit, soul, and body into harmony-and God's Word will take you as far as you want to go.

Talk the Truth "I bring my spirit, soul and body in line with God's Word"  (Amos 3:3)
